Art is under attack by our current administration and we’re looking to start a little movement called Painter’s Tape TahDah! that celebrates art in a simple accessible way.
From the contest entries we’re looking to build a community modeled after Indivisible, with the addition of art, light verse, witty people with ailments of sorts, and a fun spirit of competition
If you’re like us and couldn’t paint the infrastructure of a Tic Tac Toe game…but love art, this contest might be for you. All you need is some painter’s tape, and if you can’t afford a roll and are not so afraid of getting scammed that you’d send us a mailing address, you don’t even need that. Oh, and an ailment of some kind - big or small. We’ll provide a bunch of very accessible varied art pieces by a couple of artists that you can download. To have a shot at winning $900 dollars (Google the word “chai” to see why we landed on that number) all you need to do is send us a “before” picture of a wall or door in your house that could use some beautifying, then a picture of that same space after you’ve “curated” it with 2-8 pieces of the art we’ve provided that you can download. Our Board will chose who did the best job beautifying the space with the art and send them $900 via an e-gift card. Attached are a couple of poems by members of a companion online community that is also for people with ailments called Prescription: Playful Poetry that explain the contest in light verse.
